20th March Call out to vessel aground and listing at Corpach sea lock due to a very low tide. Secured a rope to mast and tied to pier until tide turned and vessel re-floated.
26th March Call out to person in water in Caledonian canal at the Corpach Double lock.
26th March Call out by Fort William police to locate boat being used by kids in and around the mouth of the rivers Lochy and Nevis. Stood down after nothing found.
28th March Call out to two persons seen bailing out dinghy in the Salichan bay of loch Linnhe. After two hour search stood down as nothing found.
17th April Call out to prepare landing site at the Westend car park loch Linnhe for Helimed 5 for medivac out of Belford Hospital to Glasgow.
5th May Call out to investigate person swimming in water who had not been seen for a while stood down when man swam back to shore and said he was ok
6th May Call out to prepare landing site for Coastguard Helicopter Rescue Mike Uniform at Corpach. Stood down when it was diverted to Broadford on the Isle of Skye.
17th May Call out to canoe drifting in Loch Leven. Recovered canoe and established that it had not been occupied. Informed police of its where about's.
25th May Call out to capsized boat in Loch Linnhe. Persons on board rescued by local boat in the area. With the help of another local boat three team members and owner righted boat and bailed it out.
27th May Call out to prepare landing site at the Westend car park for Royal Air Force helicopter Rescue 137 for medivac of a canoeist suffering from mild hypothermia.
2nd June Call out to investigate small boat drifting off of the shore of Loch Linnhe at Caol. On arrival police were on scene and boat was on the shore. Boat was old and covered in moss. Boat was recovered back to CRE for storage.
21st june Call out to person in Caledonian Canal at Neptunes Staircase stood down as members of the public had managed to get the person out safely.
16th July Call out to search for two young kids stuck on a small boat on the river Lochy. Located them opposite the village of Inverlochy and with the aid of a local boat rescued both kids safely. On further investigation it was found that a small boat was missing from the shore and the two kids had used it to gain access to the boat moored on the river lochy. After a search of the river bank and the shore of Loch Linnhe the boat was located drifting 2.5 miles from where it was last seen. With aid of the local boat again the boat was towed to shore, beached and tied above the high water mark.
17th July Call out to prepare landing site at the Westend car park for Coastguard rescue helicopter Mike Uniform for the medivac of a casualty from the Isle of Rhum to the Belford Hospital in Fort William.
24th July Call out to prepare landing site at Corpach for Coastguard rescue helicopter Mike Uniform for the medivac of a casualty from the Isle of Skye to the Belford Hospital in Fort William. Also to assist with the refueling of the aircraft.
24th July Call out to prepare landing site at Corpach for Coastguard rescue helicopter Mike Uniform for the medivac of a casualty from Ben Nevis to the Belford Hospital in Fort William. Stood down when the Lochaber Mountain Rescue team were on scene and were dealing with casualty.
24th July Call out to prepare landing site at Corpach for Coastguard helicopter Mike Uniform to assist with the refueling of the aircraft.
15th August Call out to investigate object floating in Loch Linnhe just off of Caol Spit. Stood down when it was established that it was a floating platform from the Under Water Training Center that had been beached earlier in the day.
26th August Call out to person in water opposite the Under Water Training Center Pier. With the aid of the UTC's rib two members of the team went out and rescued a male who had been holding on to a shipping lane marker buoy and his friend who was trying to row their boat against the tide. Both casualties were transferred to the waiting ambulance and taken to the Belford hospital for treatment for hypothermia.
7th September Call out to backup Salen, Lochaline and Kilchoan who had been out all night searching for an elderly lady that had gone missing late at night from the village of Strontian on the shores of loch Sunnart. Stood down when she was found by a police dog handler and team member. The casualty was suffering from hypothermia and was taken by ambulance to the belford hospital for treatment
15th September Call out to look for two members of Lochaber Yacht Club who had been asked by Fort William Police to look for and secure a boat that had been seen drifting in Loch Linnhe. Located casualty and stood by on watch as they secured the drifting boat to a mooring and made their way back to the LYC slipway.
27th October Call out to two open top canoes capsized with persons in the water on Loch Shiel. With the aid of a boat from the local fish farm two team members went out in rough conditions to search for the casualties. Fort William and Mallaig Mobile gave shoreline support via the forestry road and Coastguard Helicopter Rescue 100 gave air support. All casualties were located safe and well ashore. Rescue 100 airlifted them back to Glenfinan. The fish farm boat and team members transported the canoes and personal gear back to Glenfinan.
27th October Call out to land Coastguard Helicopter Rescue 100 at the West end car park landing site. It was tasked to a casualty at the halfway lochan on Ben Nevis. Due to severe weather conditions it had to return to the car park where it picked up five Lochaber Mountain Rescue team members and tried to drop them off close to the casualty but again had to return to the landing site. MRT then went by foot and stretcherd the casualty off the mountain. Rescue 100 then landed at the Corpach landing site where team members refueled her. Due to worsening weather the helicopter was grounded over night and the crew were taken to a local hotel for the night.
3rd November Call out to investigate a wind surfer in trouble in Loch Linnhe. Stood down when it was established that the casualty was ok and did not require our assistance.
7th November Call out to locate a vessel which had set off its EPIRB in the south end of loch lochy. After a hasty search of loch lochy and the canal at Gairlochy nothing was found. The EPIRB was identified as being registered to Ferguson Transport of Spean Bridge and on further investigation the EPIRB was found to be an old one that had been replaced after a refit that had been discarded into a skip at the yard of Ferguson Transport. The EPIRB was retrieved by the team members and the battery disconnected.The owners were informed and were asked to un register it and dispose of it through the correct channels to prevent a further incident occurring.
11th December Call out to assist Oban Coastguard team in the search for two missing people on Loch Awe. Stood down when the two persons were located camping on an island on Loch awe and did not require assistance.
31st December Call out to canoeist stranded on the river Etive. Navy Rescue Helicopter 177 airlifted casualty to hospital. Oban and Appin Coastguard teams in attendance along with Police, Ambulance and Glen Coe Mountain Rescue Team.
